Day 22 of the
National Blog Post Month challenge where I’m writing a blog post every day
along the theme of 30 Steps to Happiness and Contentment.
Most of the time as we go about our daily lives, we moan about the niggly things that happen in the course of the day, we brood over things that happened in the past and we worry about things that may or may not happen in the future, Then, suddenly out of the blue something happens that makes us realise that life is fragile, life is precious..
Nothing is certain in life except one thing, and that's that we will all make our exit from this life sooner or later. So we should make the most of the life we have. Don't waste time moaning about the present, brooding about the past or worrying about the future. Enjoy the moment, the here and now. Every moment is a gift, so don't waste it!

Just wanted to say I love your blog. I am also doing #NaBloPoMo, quick q : did you plan the whole month in advance or just come up with the theme?
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've found your old copy of "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway" - have you read "The Secret" as well or "Excuse Me! Your Life is Waiting..." - both great positive books
Hi lunchboxworld, I came up with the theme and then wrote a list of topics to make sure I could come up with 30 - which I could easily. I haven't planned the whole month rigidly, each day I scan the list to see if anything grabs me and sometimes I come up with a different one. I must say it's really helped to keep me focused and if I do NaBloPoMo next year I will definately pick another theme.
ReplyDeleteI haven't found my old copy of 'Feel the Fear' I think I must have lent it to someone years ago - I will order a new one though so I can see what made such an impression on me. I haven't read the other books you suggest. Sound like great titles though, so I'll have to check them out. Thanks :)
The Secret is all about thinking good things will happen and then they will. After reading it I am now terrified if a bad image crosses my mind in case it really happens. I thin I'll stick you your nablopomo book Nikki.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea for NaBloPoMo. We are in sync, you and I, about the key to happiness. Lies within ourselves, our outlook and our acceptance.
ReplyDeleteI'll be sure to go back and read more!
Push those bad images away Midlife and focus on the good things :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Mauishopgirl. It's so true :)
